Job Overview

As a Trainee chef/part time chef, you’ll support the kitchen team with food preparation, cooking and meal preparation. You’ll follow kitchen procedures, keep your work area clean and organised, and help prepare dishes consistently for service.

Duties

• Prepare ingredients and meals, following recipes and instructions from the kitchen team.
• Cook dishes carefully, check presentation and coordinate with colleagues to keep service running smoothly.
• Follow food safety and hygiene practices, clean equipment and work areas, and store ingredients appropriately.
• Assist with serving when needed and communicate clearly about preparation progress or any issues.
• Your impact: Well-prepared dishes and clear teamwork help colleagues serve customers promptly and confidently.

Experience

Required: You’ll need practical food preparation and cooking skills, care with food safety, and the ability to follow instructions, maintain an organised workspace and work collaboratively. Preferred: Kitchen or culinary experience, including meal preparation, restaurant experience or serving, will help you contribute confidently while developing your skills in the role.

Pay: £8.00-£12.71 per hour
