About the role

As Head Chef, you’ll work closely with the General Manager to lead the kitchen team and drive standards across every part of the operation.

From developing your team and delivering quality dishes to managing stock, margins and kitchen performance, you’ll play a key role in the success of the business.

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and knows how to build a positive, high-performing kitchen culture.

What you’ll be responsible for

• Delivering high-quality food and consistently excellent guest experiences.
• Recruiting, training and developing the kitchen team.
• Managing stock control, ordering and kitchen profitability.
• Maintaining high standards of food safety, hygiene and health and safety compliance
• Leading by example and creating a supportive, motivated kitchen environment.

The Swettenham Arms is in an idyllic location, right next to the Lovell Quinta Arboretum, in the tranquil village of Swettenham, which nestles in the beautiful South Cheshire countryside between the towns of Holmes Chapel and Congleton. The pub even has its own lavender field, wafting soothing floral notes over outdoor drinkers. The Swettenham Arms itself is pretty idyllic too, dating from the 1500, it is an iconic 16th award-winning busy pub and wedding venue and has an idyllic setting in the picturesque village of Swettenham. The pub consists of a bar, restaurant, large outside areas for eating and drinking and the Lovell suite which is a 120-seater function room attached to the pub.
