Company Overview

The White Hart is a charming country pub dedicated to serving high-quality food crafted from ingredients sourced directly from our own farm. We pride ourselves on providing a warm, welcoming atmosphere that celebrates local produce and traditional hospitality.

Summary

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Senior Sous Chef to work alongside our Executive Chef. The role involves managing the delivery of the menu, supporting food preparation, maintaining high culinary standards, and ensuring exceptional service that aligns with our commitment to quality and sustainability.

This is an exciting project where the right chef can put their stamp on our seasonal farm focused menu. Working alongside our own butchery.

We are a rural establishment with no public transport. You must be able to travel to work.

Responsibilities

  • Work with our Executive Chef in delivering the menu and the seasonal changes.
  • Managing the team and support their development.
  • Deliver daily food production and ensure adherence to food safety standards.
  • Manage inventory, ordering, and stock control efficiently for sections.
  • Organise the kitchen stock takes and provide data required for financial reporting.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction through excellent service and food presentation.
  • Collaborate with management to uphold the pub’s reputation for quality.
  • Qualifications
  • Proven supervising experience in a culinary or hospitality setting.
  • Extensive food production and kitchen experience.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent food preparation and cooking abilities.
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations.
  • Previous restaurant or pub experience is preferred.
  • Passion for culinary excellence and sustainable practices.
