Harbwr Tap and Kitchen is located in the heart of Tenby, a busy tourist town. We are a well established and ever growing brewery and restaurant that is dedicated to providing a quality experience to the towns visitors and locals alike through our food and beverage services.

Summary

We are seeking an experienced and talented Head Chef to lead our kitchen team at Harbwr Tap and Kitchen in Tenby. This pivotal role will contribute significantly to our mission of delivering outstanding culinary experiences while fostering a positive working environment for our staff.

It's important to understand that this large business is very well established within this busy tourist town. We're not trying to reinvent the wheel, just to keep it turning in an organised and efficient manor.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a clean kitchen environment.
  • Oversee all kitchen operations to ensure high standards of food quality and presentation.
  • Lead, motivate, and manage kitchen staff, fostering teamwork and collaboration.
  • Develop and implement menus inline with seasonal demand and service abilities.
  • Manage inventory, ordering supplies, and minimizing waste.
  • Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Train new kitchen staff on cooking techniques and safety protocols.
  • Monitor kitchen performance metrics to drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Experience as a Head Chef or above within a transferable hospitality setting is a must have. Strong references will be required to support.
  • Strong culinary skills with a focus on food production and preparation.
  • Excellent team management abilities with a passion for mentoring others.
  • In-depth knowledge of food safety standards and regulations.
  • Ability to create innovative menus that enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire a team.
