Summary

We are seeking a passionate, talented Head Chef or Exec Chef to lead and develop our team bringing with them creativity, knowledge and focus to achieve the highest standards and quality, leading in our mission of delivering an outstanding dining experience for each customer. We expect to create excellent food using all of the produce, making and cooking from scratch, creating consistently beautiful plates for our customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage all kitchen operations, ensuring efficient food production and preparation.
  • Develop exciting seasonal menus that highlight our very local produce from the surrounding sea, fields and farms.
  • Create beautiful food from the very best local supplies
  • Supervise kitchen staff, fostering a calm, professional, collaborative, high-performing, focussed yet friendly team environment.
  • Lead by example.
  • Maintain food safety standards and ensure compliance with FSS health regulations.
  • Train and mentor kitchen staff in the very best culinary techniques and best practices.
  • Encourage talent and development within the team.
  • Oversee inventory management, including ordering supplies and minimising waste.
  • Collaborate and work well with our front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery and team/customer focus.
  • Monitor food costs and significantly contribute to budget management.

Qualifications: Proven experience as a Head Chef or Exec Chef (contract or employed).

  • Strong culinary skills set with expertise in food production and preparation.
  • Excellent leadership abilities with experience in team management and development.
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
  • Creative mindset with the ability to develop innovative menus.
  • Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with staff and Management.
  • Passion for high-quality food and customer satisfaction.

  • NVQ L3 or equivalent preferred.
