The Holiday Inn Newcastle South offers visitors to the North East the opportunity to relax in style and comfort. As a Head Chef, you will be vital in delivering an outstanding experience to all our guests.

We see you as a real ambassador of our company, operating on the front line with an organised, proactive approach and a meticulous eye for detail. You enjoy being part of a busy team but also have the drive to build a strong team, always keen to deliver the highest standards and exceed our guests’ expectations.

Outline Job Description:

  • Our Head Chef is vital in delivering a great guest experience to all our guests.
  • Recruit, drive and develop a strong kitchen team to produce high-quality dishes and maximise profit.
  • Ensure team compliance with all health and safety requirements.
  • To ensure Service delivery of food for core standard menus, as set down by dish specification.
  • Food stock must be controlled through correct ordering, storage, and production in line with business requirements.
  • To adhere to core standards on menu descriptions, training and focussing the team on presentation
  • This position will include shifts working Saturday and Sunday. Additional hours may be required to support the hotel during our busier periods, including bank holidays.
