VALUE INVESTING · BAYUTI.COM

Head of Sales

This is not a job. It is a calling.

London / Hybrid · Full-time · Senior leadership, reporting to the CEO

Start with why

Bayuti exists for one reason:

To connect people in shared prosperity, so that the economy serves the many, not the few.

We think the economy has it backwards. It works brilliantly, for the few. It lends people a life and charges them for the privilege, profits most when they struggle, and teaches everyone to fight alone. We believe prosperity is something we build together, so we are building a financial system without interest, without debt and without exploitation.

Our first proof: people buy their home debt-free through co-ownership. The buyer owns from 5% on day one; a community of everyday investors, from £50, partners for the rest; rent is paid only on the share not yet owned and shrinks every quarter as the buyer staircases to 100%. Amana investment, at 5%, keep the journey moving, and investors can share part of their monthly returns with charities they choose.

If that sentence at the top made you feel something, keep reading. If it didn’t, this role is not for you and that’s okay.

Why this role exists: we don’t sell products, we spread a belief

Bayuti’s Head of Sales is not a closer of deals; you are the first voice of a movement. Your job is to find the people who already believe what we believe, the family that refuses to touch interest, the investor who wants their money to build homes rather than debt and give them a way to act on that belief.

What you will own

  • Growth on both sides. Build and run the engine that brings in homebuyers and everyday investors: two audiences, one community, one Why.
  • The digital sale. Bayuti is an app, so the deal closes on a screen, but it is still a sale, and you own it. Marketing brings people to the door; you take them from interest to invested: the discovery call with a hesitant first-time investor, the webinar for a community group, the walkthrough that turns a homebuyer's application into a completed purchase. You will decide where a human conversation belongs inside the digital journey and make sure revenue lands.
  • Community-led sales. Take Bayuti to where our believers already gather: community organisations, cultural events, professional networks and the ethical-finance ecosystem. Our best channel is a person telling their brother about us.
  • Partnership channels. Open and grow routes through IFAs, ethical wealth platforms, employers, charities and community institutions who share our values.
  • Selling inside the rules. Every conversation and campaign compliant with FCA financial-promotion rules and Consumer Duty. We sell a high-risk regulated investment honestly, including telling people when it is not right for them.
  • A sales culture with no dark arts. No pressure tactics, no urgency theatre, no commission structures that reward pushing the wrong product on the wrong person. You will design incentives where the team wins only when the customer genuinely prospers.
  • The feedback loop. Own pipeline, CRM discipline and the numbers, conversion, activation, retention, referral and carry what believers say back into product.

Who you are

A believer first. You have sold before and somewhere along the way you got tired of selling things you didn’t believe in. Our Why reads to you like something you would have written yourself.

  • Proven sales leadership in financial services or fintech. 6+ years leading sales or growth, ideally across both B2C and partnership channels, with numbers you are proud to walk us through.
  • Regulated-product fluency. You have sold FCA-regulated (or equivalent) products and know how to grow fast without ever crossing the line, financial promotions, Consumer Duty, fair-value thinking.
  • A storyteller. You can stand in front of a community hall, a podcast microphone or a sceptical IFA and make the Why land, in plain words, without hype.
  • A builder. You have taken a sales function from nothing to a working machine: playbooks, CRM, hiring, coaching, forecasting.
  • Desirable: roots in, or deep familiarity with, the UK Muslim community and Islamic finance; property or investment platform experience. Belief matters more than background we will teach you the products; we cannot teach you to care.

The way we sell, five rules you will guard

Our principles do not stop at the product; they govern every sales conversation. As Head of Sales, you are their keeper:

  • Sell the Why, not the yield. Returns are the proof, never the pitch. People join Bayuti because of what we believe.
  • Find the believers first. We win early adopters with conviction, not the mass market with discounts.
  • Never sell to someone it doesn’t serve. If Bayuti is wrong for them, we say so.
  • Speak our language. Partnership, co-ownership, your share, never “loan”, “credit” or “alternative mortgage”.
  • Honesty over urgency. This is a high-risk investment and we say so plainly. No countdown timers, no fear.

What we offer

  • The rarest thing in sales: a product you will never have to apologise for. Every sale you make puts a family closer to a debt-free home.
  • A senior seat with potential equity and the mandate to build the sales function from the ground up, your way, inside our principles.
  • Compensation at UK market rate. Base salary of £55,000–£80,000
  • In office working and a tight team bound by shared values rather than job descriptions.

How to apply

Do not send us only a CV. Send your CV plus a short letter, no more than one page, answering a single question: why does our Why matter to you? Then tell us about one thing you refused to sell, and one thing you would do in your first 90 days to find our believers.

Write to careers@bayuti.comwith the subject line “I believe”. We reply to every believer.
