  • Ensuring clean, accurate monthly balance sheet reconciliations across all Group companies
  • Leading the audit process and working with the CFO on the approval of the statutory accounts
  • Managing VAT compliance and reporting, regulatory returns and monthly insurance returns
  • Maintaining and developing internal financial systems, controls and processes, including risk management of company credit cards
  • Working with the Commercial team on tour profitability and investigating variances to identify efficiencies and cost savings
  • Supporting the CFO in setting annual budgets and financial targets aligned to the Group's strategic aims
  • Partnering with the Senior Leadership team to deliver the strategic plan and liaising with merchant service providers

· Proven leadership skills, with the ability to manage, develop and influence a wide group of people

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills

· Strong attention to detail, with excellent planning and organisational skills

· A proactive, self-starting approach and the ability to deliver results under pressure

· A clear understanding of the business and the wider industry is important, although previous experience within travel is by no means essential.
