Full job description

Vale Gymnastics Club Manager will be responsible for the overall management and operations of the club, ensuring it delivers high-quality lessons and services to members while maintaining a positive and safe environment. This role involves overseeing staff, operating within a budget, fostering community engagement, and ensuring compliance with health, safety, and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Management:

  • Plan, coordinate, and oversee daily operations of the gymnastics club.
  • Develop and implement club policies, procedures and programs.
  • Ensure facilities and equipment are maintained, safe, and meet industry standards.

Staff Leadership

  • Manage, train and supervise coaches and volunteers.
  • Schedule staff and assign responsibilities to meet program demands.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative team culture through ongoing support and professional development.

Program Development:

  • Develop and promote gymnastics programs tailored to various skill levels and ages, including recreational and squad level gymnastics.
  • Monitor program success and gather feedback to continuously improve offerings.

Customer Service:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for parents, gymnasts, staff and community members.
  • Resolve customer inquiries and complaints professionally and promptly.
  • Foster strong relationships with members to enhance satisfaction and retention.

Financial Management:

  • Operate within a budget, including program costs, staff wages, and facility expenses.
  • Oversee membership, tuition, and fundraising activities.

Marketing & Community Engagement:

  • Collaborate with our marketing team to build a strong social media presence.
  • Engage with local schools and organisations to build community support.

Compliance and Safety:

  • Implement and monitor health and safety protocols for all activities.
  • Maintain certifications and stay informed of industry standards.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Proven experience in managing or supervising sports or recreational facilities, preferably in gymnastics.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and multitasking abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with diverse groups.
  • Financial acumen, including budgeting, financial reporting, and revenue generation.
  • Knowledge of gymnastics programs, training techniques, and competition standards.
  • Proficiency in administrative tools, scheduling software, and social media platforms.
  • Commitment to safety and ensuring a positive experience for all members.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Sports Management, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Coaching certifications and a background in gymnastics.
  • Experience in marketing or community engagement.
