Full time Apprentice Tree Surgeon required to work in a friendly, tree work company in West Hyde, Rickmansworth, Hertfordshire WD3 9XY

Due to insurance company restrictions this position is only open to candidates 18 years and older. You will need to hold a full UK drivers licence as public transport doesn't stop at our yard

JOB TITLE: Apprentice Arborist

REPORTS TO: Managing Director

LOCATION: West Hyde, Rickmansworth, Hertfordshire WD3 9XY

HOURS: Monday to Friday 6:30am – 3:30pm

KEY AIMS AND REQUIREMENTS:

To learn all aspects of tree work whilst working as part of a team. All apprentices are required to join the two-year Artemis Academy apprenticeship program based at our headquarters in West Hyde. It is expected that all students will be fully qualified Arborists at the end of the 2-year apprenticeship.

TASKS:

  • Carry logs and branches and process these through woodchippers.
  • To aid the climbers by filling chainsaws and ensuring ropes are free of snags.
  • To liaise with clients and customers as part of a team.
  • To learn all aspects of tree work with the view to becoming a competent climber.
  • Carry out training for all NPTC chainsaw and climbing certificates.
  • Learn all necessary aspects of tree biology, tree identification and tree science with the Artemis Academy.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

The ideal candidate will have a positive attitude along with good levels of fitness. No experience required.

PACKAGE:

  • Full PPE provided
  • Fully paid on-going training including all assessment fees
  • 20 days paid holiday plus bank holidays and birthday off
  • Regular training days, staff parties/days out.

SALARY: £25,000

Pay: £25,000.00 per year
