About the Role:

We are looking for a confident, professional and enthusiastic Assistant Maître d’ to join our restaurant team.

The successful candidate will support the Reception Manager in overseeing daily restaurant operations, delivering exceptional guest experiences and ensuring the highest standards of service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Maître d’ with managing the restaurant floor.
  • Welcome guests and ensure a warm, professional greeting.
  • Manage reservations, seating arrangements and guest requests.
  • Support and supervise front-of-house team members.
  • Maintain excellent service standards throughout service.
  • Handle guest feedback and resolve complaints professionally.
  • Ensure the restaurant is presented to the highest standards.
  • Assist with staff training and team development.

Requirements

  • Previous experience as an Leadership role on reception in a luxury restaurant
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Knowledge of booking systems
  • A passion for hospitality and guest satisfaction.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a busy restaurant.
  • Professional appearance and positive attitude.

Pay: £17.31 per hour
