Children and young people Assessor

TutorCare is a leading UK provider of care training, dedicated to helping learners grow academically, professionally, and personally.

Permanent position: Full Time - 37.5hrs per week

Location: Home/Field based (must be flexible)

Report to: Head of Centre

Salary: £30-35K (depending on experience)

Mandatory Qualifications:

· Assessor Award, CAVA or TAQA Level 3, A1, D32/33 or equivalent

· Level 5 in Health and Social Care and/or children and young people.

We are looking for qualified assessors with experience delivering and assessing the following qualifications:

· Level 3 Diploma for Early Years Educators

· Level 3 Diploma for the Children and Young People’s Workforce

· Level 3 Diploma for Residential Childcare

· Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare

· Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care and Children and Young People’s Services

Skills:

· Minimum 2 years’ experience as a qualified assessor within the childcare sector

· Demonstrate a commitment to equality and diversity and quality assurance

· Must have a proficient level of ICT skills and understanding of e-portfolios

· Possess excellent communication skills

· Be a team player

· Full clean driving licence with access to transport

· Must be flexible with travel to include workplace observations

Duties include:

· Support learners working towards qualifications in children and young people awards up to Level 5.

· Managing your time effectively and your diary efficiently to ensure timely reviews are conducted.

· Organise and maintain online documentation on learners' progress.

· Support, advise and motivate learners.

· Overcome barriers to learning and adapt delivery to meet learner’s needs.

· Travel to various workplaces to complete observations of learners working practice.

· Partake in 1-1 monthly support sessions with your Internal Verifier

· Attend assessor standardisation

Desirable:

· Qualification in Internal Verification with 2 years’ experience

· Qualification in Level 7 strategic management
