A bit about the job

This role exists to assess and manage Group Income Protection and Individual Income Protection claims, ensuring fair and timely outcomes for our customers.

You’ll join a supportive team focused on Income Protection claims, where your expertise will play a key role in delivering great customer outcomes.

We’re here to help people through difficult times, and your decisions will directly impact their wellbeing. You’ll work closely with key stakeholders to gather relevant evidence and communicate outcomes clearly and empathetically. Your insight will also help us continuously improve how we support our customers and manage claims effectively.

Skills and experience we’re looking for

  • Proven experience assessing Group Income Protection and/or Individual Income Protection claims

  • Strong decision-making skills with the ability to balance customer outcomes and risk

  • Confidence in interpreting medical, financial, and occupational information relevant to IP claims

  • Excellent communication skills – written and verbal – with a customer-first mindset

  • Ability to build effective relationships with intermediaries, employers, medical professionals, and internal teams

  • A proactive approach to continuous improvement and supporting/mentoring less experienced colleagues

  • Starting salary between £34,000 and £38,000 (depending on level of experience)

  • Bonus opportunity – 8% of annual salary (depending on performance)
