About the role

You will lead the development and delivery of SWISCo’s communications, marketing and brand strategy, ensuring our messaging is clear, consistent and impactful across all channels.

The role will:

  • Lead and manage a small, high-performing communications team
  • Deliver integrated campaigns across digital, media, print and community engagement channels
  • Provide strategic communications advice to senior leaders and operational teams
  • Manage media relations, stakeholder engagement and public messaging
  • Lead communications during incidents, service changes or emergencies
  • Use insight, data and evaluation to improve engagement and outcomes

You will work closely with colleagues across SWISCo to ensure communications support frontline services, improve customer understanding, and promote positive behaviour change across Torbay.About youWe are looking for a confident and creative professional who can operate at both strategic and operational level.

You will bring:

  • Significant experience in marketing, communications or public relations
  • Proven ability to develop and deliver effective communication strategies and campaigns
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and influencing skills
  • Experience of managing or leading teams
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to use insight to inform decisions
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced, public-facing environment
