PSYCHOLOGIST (CLINICAL OR FORENSIC)

About the role
: We are seeking to recruit a Clinical or Forensic Psychologist, to be based at Glyn Rhosyn Care Home with Nursing, which may include travel to other MHC locations, according to the needs of the role.

We are looking for an innovative and motivated Clinical or Forensic Psychologist to deliver psychology support and structured interventions for residents. We are looking for someone with relevant experience from previous practice. We would be interested to hear from Consultant Psychologists or from a Clinical or Forensic Psychologist with relevant experience and skills supporting people with a Learning Disability, Mental Health Diagnosis and/or Complex Needs, including experience and relevant training in recognised Risk Assessments.

Good working knowledge of therapeutic approaches, research and evidence based practices are essential for this role. Experience of working as part of an MDT and working directly with residents and staff is vital.

The ability to be innovative; a focus on quality; and being a team player are essential qualities for this post.

As the Clinical or Forensic Psychologist at MHC your role will include;

  • Working autonomously within professional and organisational guidelines and policy. Exercising responsibility for the governance of psychological practice within MHC.
  • Providing Psychological assessment, formulation and interventions to residents and acting as a specialist resource to the wider professional community as needed.
  • Developing appropriate assessments, formulation and interventions for the people in our care
  • Working collaboratively as a member of the Multidisciplinary team
  • Providing systemic support and training to the nursing and support team to assist in the delivery of effective care and support to residents, supporting a Psychologically Informed Environment.

Salary: £75,000 - £84,000 Pro Rata, DOE

Requirements: HCPC registration as a Clinical or Forensic Psychologist

Hours of Work: 1-2 days per week, up to 16 hours (to be discussed at interview)

Contract Type: Permanent
