With our core laboratory based at The Halo Building in London WC1H 9AX, we also have an expanding site in Manchester as well as smaller hospital-based laboratories across the country. About the role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Medical Laboratory Assistant (MLA) to join our multidisciplinary Pathology Laboratory at Bupa Cromwell Hospital.
Our laboratory provides a comprehensive pathology service within a modern and supportive environment, offering excellent opportunities for training and professional development.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive and register samples using WinPath
- Handle client enquiries via telephone and email
- Refer samples to the main laboratory (Halo) when required
- Process urgent and specialist specimens
- Maintain accurate records and comply with quality and safety standards
Working Hours
- Rotational shifts between 8:00 am and 8:00 pm, Monday to Friday
- Occasional Saturday shifts
Essential Requirements
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work effectively in a busy team environment
- Good IT skills and confidence using laboratory systems
Desirable
- Previous laboratory, pathology, or healthcare experience
- Experience using WinPath or a similar LIMS
