The Role

We are looking for an experienced and commercially minded Senior Account Manager to join our growing team. This is a client-facing role focused on building strong relationships, driving performance, and ensuring exceptional service delivery across a portfolio of key accounts.

You will act as the main point of contact for clients, agencies, and internal stakeholders, ensuring operational excellence while identifying opportunities to grow existing accounts through upselling and value added services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients through regular meetings, reviews, and ongoing communication.
  • Attend client and agency meetings to understand business needs and deliver a high level of customer service.
  • Monitor weekly trends in fulfilment, hours worked, and performance metrics, investigating any dips and working with clients and care homes to identify solutions.
  • Prepare and deliver monthly management information (MI) reports and dashboard updates, coordinating with internal departments to ensure data is accurate and available on time.
  • Conduct performance review meetings with agencies, addressing any concerns, performance issues, or service-related challenges.
  • Provide clear feedback and recommendations to clients following agency performance reviews.
  • Develop strong internal relationships with operational teams to ensure smooth management of timesheet queries, home approvals, and service delivery.
  • Maintain an in-depth understanding of client performance, including out-of-panel spend, fulfilment rates, workforce trends, and utilisation statistics.
  • Attend face-to-face client meetings as required, demonstrating flexibility to travel at short notice when business needs arise.
  • Attend the office every Friday to participate in agency review meetings, team collaboration sessions, and training activities for new starters.
  • Identify opportunities to upsell services and support business growth within existing accounts.

About You

  • Proven experience in Account Management, Client Services, Recruitment, Neutral Vendor Management, or a similar customer-focused role.
  • A confident and proactive professional who is comfortable building new relationships, influencing stakeholders, and identifying opportunities to grow accounts.
  • Commercially minded, with experience in sales, upselling, and expanding client partnerships through value-added solutions.
  • Someone who is motivated to make a visible impact, challenge the status quo where appropriate, and contribute to the continued growth and success of the business.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to engage confidently with clients, agencies, and senior decision-makers.
  • Experience presenting performance data, insights, and recommendations to clients in a clear and professional manner.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comfortable analysing trends, interpreting performance metrics, and using data to drive decisions and improvements.
  • Experience within healthcare staffing, social care, or workforce solutions is advantageous but not essential.
  • Previous experience within recruitment, workforce solutions, managed service programmes (MSP), or neutral vendor environments would be highly desirable.
  • Flexible and willing to travel regularly to attend client meetings and industry events as required.
