Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Full-Time Live-In Carer to provide exceptional care and support to individuals in a home setting. This role offers the unique opportunity to live on-site, ensuring continuous assistance and companionship for those in need. The ideal candidate will be energetic, proactive, and committed to enhancing the quality of life for their clients through attentive caregiving, personalized care routines, and a warm, respectful approach. As a vital member of our caregiving team, you will foster a safe, nurturing environment while managing daily activities and health needs with professionalism and empathy.

Duties

  • Provide comprehensive patient care, including assistance with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
  • Administer medications accurately according to prescribed schedules and document all medication activities
  • Support clients with meal preparation, ensuring nutritional needs are met while accommodating dietary restrictions
  • Assist with light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe living environment
  • Offer emotional support and companionship to promote mental well-being and reduce feelings of loneliness
  • Support emergency response procedures by maintaining first aid readiness and coordinating with healthcare professionals when necessary

Requirements

  • Proven assisted living or home care experience, ideally including knowledge of caring for someone who is partially sighted, and partially deaf, with a diagnosis of lymphoma
  • Strong background in client care.
  • Knowledge of medication administration, first aid certification, and basic health monitoring skills
  • Valid driver’s license and access to a car with reliable driving record for transportation needs
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Flexibility to work full-time hours in a live-in capacity, including occasional overnight shifts
  • Must hold a valid Enhanced Access NI or DBS check.
