Role Overview

ViiV Healthcare is looking for an Advanced Analytics and Insights Manager to lead and deliver impactful analytics across the commercial and medical functions of the organisation. This role will partner with Medical Affairs leaders and cross-functional stakeholders to translate strategic priorities, Medical Unmet Needs (MUNs), and evidence-generation objectives into measurable outcomes, KPIs, and analytical plans.

The successful candidate will play a key role in developing analytical frameworks, measuring the impact of Medical Affairs activities, delivering actionable insights, and integrating AI-enabled capabilities into analytics and reporting. This position will work closely with Medical Affairs, Medical Insights, HEOR, Real World Evidence, Epidemiology, Data Science, Data Governance, Technology, Market Research, Forecasting, and Competitive Intelligence teams to deliver integrated analytical solutions that support business decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with Medical Affairs leaders and cross-functional stakeholders to translate strategic priorities, Medical Unmet Needs (MUNs), and evidence-generation objectives into measurable outcomes, KPIs, and analytical plans.
• Support key Medical Affairs priorities including Strategic Evidence Generation (SEG), Integrated Evidence Planning (IEP), Medical Unmet Need (MUN) assessment, scientific engagement effectiveness, congress impact, medical content utilisation, and Medical Impact Measurement.
• Develop analytical frameworks and measurement approaches to evaluate the effectiveness and impact of Medical Affairs activities, including Medical Science Liaison (MSL) engagements, scientific exchange, advisory boards, medical education programmes, congress participation, publications, medical content dissemination, and evidence-generation initiatives.
• Identify and quantify the drivers of key medical outcomes by assessing how Medical Affairs activities contribute to outcomes such as scientific engagement, evidence adoption, healthcare professional education, patient identification opportunities, and addressing Medical Unmet Needs.
• Define data requirements, success metrics, KPI frameworks, and impact measurement methodologies to enable Medical Affairs teams to measure value, demonstrate outcomes, and optimise resource allocation.
• Facilitate workshops and stakeholder sessions to align on business questions, outcome measures, analytical priorities, and measurement strategies.
• Design and implement dashboards, self-service analytics capabilities, and reporting solutions that provide timely, actionable insights to Medical Affairs teams and leadership.
• Manage executive reporting processes and deliver compelling insights through data storytelling and executive-level presentations.
• Integrate AI-enabled capabilities into analytics, reporting, and insight generation to improve efficiency, scalability, and decision support.
• Collaborate with Medical Affairs, Medical Insights, HEOR, Real World Evidence, Epidemiology, Data Science, Data Governance, Technology, Market Research, Forecasting, and Competitive Intelligence teams to deliver integrated analytical solutions.
• Promote best practices in Medical Analytics, impact measurement, evidence-generation analytics, and data governance across the organisation.

Required Skills, Qualifications & Experience

• Degree in STEM, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related discipline.
• Master's degree in a quantitative or related field such as Statistics, Data Science, Analytics, Epidemiology, Public Health, Life Sciences, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Science, Business Analytics, or MBA.
• Experience in analytics, data science, healthcare analytics, pharmaceutical analytics, consulting, or a related field.
• Experience supporting Medical Affairs, healthcare, or life sciences organisations.
• Proven experience developing and implementing advanced analytics and measurement solutions.
• Strong proficiency in Python, R, SQL, SAS, or similar analytical tools and platforms.
• Experience developing KPI frameworks, measurement plans, dashboards, and executive reporting solutions.
• Strong understanding of translating business and medical questions into analytical approaches and actionable insights.
• Demonstrated expertise in stakeholder management, influencing, and working effectively across cross-functional and matrixed teams.
• Proven ability to create and deliver presentations to audiences at all levels of the organisation.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and storytelling skills, including the ability to explain complex analytical concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Demonstrated initiative, sound judgement, and discretion when handling sensitive information.
• Passion for combining analytics, Medical Affairs partnership, evidence generation, AI innovation, and storytelling to help the organisation better understand, measure, and optimise the impact of its medical activities and investments.
