Full Time / Part-Time Dental Nurse, Monday-Friday

A well established private dental practice, with a young and motivated owner, looking to deliver a high standard of dental care in a professional and friendly setting. I genuinely believe that each patient should be treated just like family.

We provide most dental treatment, including preventative dentistry, dental implants, cosmetic treatments and AirFlow hygiene treatment.

You would be joining a friendly and supportive team of other qualified nurses. Our patients are well educated after being with us for many years, and we are fortunate to have good rapport and trust with them.

We aim to offer a supportive environment to enable applicants to grow their experience in learning new techniques and skills.

Job description

I am looking for a full time and part-time qualified dental nurse, or a trainee nurse who is already enrolled in a training scheme.

Candidates are expected to occassionally cover other staff which may be away due to illness.

Full-time position: The hours for Monday & Wednesday 08:45-17:30hrs Tuesday 08:45-18:30hrs & Thursday-Friday are 07:45-14:15hrs, with a paid 20 minute break at 11:00hrs. These days offer 37 hours of work each week. The later finish on Tuesday could potentially be shared between other team members depending on the preference of the candidate.

Part-time position: Monday-Wednesday 08:45hrs-17-30hrs, with the option to work until 18:30hrs on Tuesday.

Hours can occasionally be flexible upon agreement me. Providing this will be more likely for a candidate able to show good teamwork and commitment.

The candidate would work with the dentist and hygienist, and also fulfil reception duties on an occasional basis.

A trainee full time dental nurse would be offered an hourly rate of £12.80-13.80/hour.

A fully qualified dental nurse would be paid from £14.60-£15.70/hour, depending on experience. There is an annual bonus based on staff performance.

A patient's check-up is 15 minutes, I want to give us the time to treat patients to a good standard. The surgery is relatively new, the suction unit is outside the surgery, and so we have a quiet and modern room to work in. The surgery has an iTero intra-oral scanner for a digital workflow.

I want to bring in a valued team member which I would hope will remain with us on a long term basis.

Most of the work that we do is routine and preventative dentistry. There is also cosmetic and implant dentistry completed. Please take a look at the instagram page, @drmartincraven, to see more about what we do.

I would pay for your GDC membership and CPD subscriptions. If the candidate is employed in another role, I would pay up to a fair share of these fees.

A DBS check would be required, along with HepB vaccinations. Vaccinations can be arranged if not already had.

The candidate must already have the right to work in the UK.
