Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. This role involves providing high-quality support to individuals in care homes or receiving home care services. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, be reliable, and committed to enhancing the wellbeing of those in their care. A valid driving licence is desirable to facilitate travel between locations. Duties

  • Assisting clients with daily activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility
  • Supporting individuals with their care plans tailored to their specific needs
  • Providing companionship and emotional support to promote mental wellbeing
  • Assisting with medication management as directed by healthcare professionals
  • Ensuring a safe and clean environment for clients at all times
  • Recording observations and updates in client records accurately using IT systems
  • Communicating effectively with clients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure consistent care delivery
  • Driving clients to appointments or activities if required, maintaining safe driving practices

Experience

  • Previous experience working within a care home or providing home care is advantageous but not essential; full training will be provided
  • Good understanding of care plans and the ability to adapt support accordingly
  • Basic IT skills for recording and updating client information securely
  • Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with clients and colleagues
  • Valid driving licence preferred for roles involving transportation of clients or travel between locations
