Are you passionate about supporting young people to reach their full potential? Do you want to be part of a small, supportive team where your voice is heard and your work truly matters? If so, we’d love to hear from you.
We are a family-owned, independent residential care provider, not part of a large corporate organisation. This means we offer a warm, personal working environment where relationships come first—both with the young people we support and within our team.
About the Role
As a Children’s Residential Support Worker, you will work with young people aged 11–18 years, providing a safe, nurturing, and structured home environment. You’ll play a key role in helping them build confidence, develop life skills, and overcome challenges.
What Makes Us Different

- Supportive leadership – approachable management who value your ideas
- Consistency of care – small homes and stable teams
- Meaningful relationships – the chance to truly connect with and support young people
- Flexibility and understanding – we recognise the importance of work-life balance

What We’re Looking For
- A genuine passion for working with young people
- Resilience, patience, and a caring nature
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to remain calm in challenging situations
- Previous experience is desirable but not essential—we value attitude and commitment above all
Safer Recruitment
Due to the nature of this role and our commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, all applicants will be subject to safer recruitment procedures. This includes thorough referencing, employment history checks, and an enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check. We are committed to ensuring the safety and wellbeing of the young people in our care.
Pay & Development
- £13.20 per hour (unqualified) Following a successful probation period (typically 6 months depending on performance and previous experience), you will be enrolled onto an apprenticeship in Children and Young People’s workforce to support your professional development.
- £14.50 per hour (Level 4 qualified in Children and Young People) We are committed to investing in our staff and supporting you to grow within your career.
What we offer
- A welcoming, family-oriented workplace
- Ongoing training and development opportunities
