We have built a strong reputation for delivering person-centred care and are a trusted framework provider for the NHS, Lancashire County Council, Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council, and the NHS Night Sitting Service.

Our service operates 24 hours a day, delivering a wide range of care packages including domiciliary care, respite care, palliative care, and specialist dementia support.

We pride ourselves on delivering an exceptional standard of care through a highly trained and compassionate workforce.

We are now seeking an experienced Registered Manager to oversee and further develop our existing domiciliary care service, while supporting the continued growth of our complex care provision.

The Role

This is a key leadership role within an established and growing organisation, reporting directly to the Directors.

You will take responsibility for the day-to-day management of an already successful domiciliary care service, ensuring continued high standards, strong operational performance, and full regulatory compliance.

You will also play an important role in supporting the development and coordination of complex care services, working alongside healthcare professionals, commissioners, and stakeholders to help grow this area of the business.

The role requires strong leadership, operational management, and a commitment to delivering safe, effective, and person-centred care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of the domiciliary care service
  • Maintain and enhance high standards of care, quality, and performance
  • Support the coordination and oversight of complex care packages within the community
  • Conduct assessments, reviews, and care planning
  • Lead recruitment, training, supervision, and performance management of care staff
  • Manage operational performance including staffing, rotas, service delivery, and branch growth
  • Ensure compliance with CQC standards, safeguarding, and regulatory requirements
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with commissioners, local authorities, healthcare professionals, and stakeholders
  • Support business development, referrals, and growth of care hours delivered
  • Provide regular reporting and operational updates to the Directors
  • Ensure delivery of safe, effective, and person-centred care at all times

About You

Essential:

  • Previous experience as a Registered Manager, Deputy Manager, or Care Manager within domiciliary care
  • Proven experience managing and leading care staff teams within a domiciliary care setting
  • Strong knowledge of CQC regulations and compliance
  • Experience managing care service operations, audits, safeguarding, and quality assurance
  • Good understanding of complex care and community-based care services
  • Strong leadership and organisational skills
  • Commercial awareness and ability to support service growth
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • NVQ Level 5 in Health & Social Care (or willingness to work towards)
  • Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle

Desirable:

  • Experience working with complex care packages
  • Experience developing or growing domiciliary care services
  • Knowledge of local authority and NHS commissioning processes
  • Experience working with multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong leadership and people management skills
  • Excellent organisational and operational management capability
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Commercial awareness, including growth and service performance
  • Professional, proactive, and results-driven approach
  • Compassionate and person-centred mindset

What We Offer

  • Competitive salary (£35,000+ depending on experience)
  • Monday to Friday working (9am – 5pm)
  • Opportunity to lead within a well-established and reputable organisation
  • Supportive leadership team
