Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality care and support to individuals in a home care or care home setting. This role requires effective communication skills, the ability to follow care plans, and a commitment to enhancing the well-being of our clients. A valid driving licence is preferred to assist with transportation needs.

Responsibilities

  • Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication management.
  • Follow individual care plans to ensure personalised support is delivered effectively.
  • Communicate regularly with clients, their families, and healthcare professionals to provide updates on client progress and any concerns.
  • Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in client condition to the appropriate personnel.
  • Support clients in social activities and encourage engagement with their community.
  • Ensure a safe and clean environment for clients by adhering to health and safety regulations.
  • Drive clients to appointments or social outings as required.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in home care or a care home setting is desirable but not essential.
  • Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being able to work independently.
  • Basic IT skills for maintaining records and communicating with team members effectively.
  • A valid driving licence is advantageous for transporting clients when necessary.
  • A genuine passion for providing high-quality care and support to individuals in need.
