Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals to provide elderly care and companionship. This role involves supporting seniors in maintaining their independence, ensuring their well-being, and offering social engagement. The position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of older adults within their homes or care facilities. Applicants should be empathetic, reliable, and committed to delivering high-quality care.

Responsibilities

  • Assist elderly clients with daily activities such as dressing, shopping and mobility.
  • Provide companionship through engaging conversations, activities, and emotional support
  • Support clients in adhering to personalised care plans developed in collaboration with healthcare professionals
  • Assist with light household tasks including meal preparation, laundry, and light cleaning
  • Accompany clients on outings or appointments as required
  • Maintain accurate records of care provided and any changes in the client’s condition
  • Ensure a safe environment by recognising potential hazards and following safety protocols

Skills

  • Driving licence and car essential
  • Experience working in a care home or home care setting is advantageous but not required
  • Ability to understand and follow detailed care plans tailored to individual needs
  • Proficiency in English with excellent communication skills to interact effectively with clients and team members
  • Basic IT skills for admin and communication purposes
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and rapport with elderly clients
  • Compassionate attitude with patience, respect, and sensitivity towards older adults’ needs

Pay: £13.25-£19.88 per hour

Expected hours: 8.0 – 12.0 per week
