Full job description

We're looking for AMAZING part time OR full time Care Assistants to join our team at Eden Country Care in the Shap area.

Join one of the area's most supportive home care teams and love what you do every day.

Company: Eden Country Care (‘GOOD’ CQC rating)

Working hours and shift patterns:

  • 6.30am - 2.00pm
  • 3.00 - 11.00pm
  • Or longer, full days if you prefer

Working hours per week: Minimum hours are 5 per week, maximum full time, e.g. 40 hours per week.

Profession: Care Professional - also known as Care Assistant - Home Care Assistant

Location/s that we cover: All areas of Penrith

  • £13.31 per hour
  • £13.75 per hour (if you have a diploma)
  • £14.39 per hour (Senior Carer)
  • £13.31 per hour for travel time.
  • 40p per mile for mileage.
  • Average earnings - £16.44 per hour, including paid mileage

Bonus: We pay time and a half on bank holidays plus a day in lieu

Role Overview: You will be supporting our clients to stay in their own homes, helping to keep them safe, happy and as independent as they can be.

What You’ll Do as a Care Professional

Personal Care & Daily Living Support

You will be supporting our clients to stay in their own homes, helping to keep them safe, happy and as independent as they can be. You will visit our clients in their home and provide a variety of services to help promote quality of life.

  • Companionship and meaningful social interactions. Taking clients to appointments and social events.
  • Meal preparation and light housework, help with shopping.
  • Personal care. Washing, dressing, medication support
