Are you looking to use your clinical skills in a different way? As a Functional Assessor, you'll continue to utilise your clinical expertise, maintain your registration, and enjoy a better work-life balance.

We're looking for NMC-registered Adult Nurses (RGN, RMN or RNLD) with broad experience assessing and managing adults with a range of health conditions.. You'll need to be currently practising in the UK and have been in UK clinical practice throughout the last 12 months.

We're particularly interested in Practice Nurses, District Nurses and Pre-Assessment Nurses, alongside nurses with broad, recent NHS or hospital-based clinical experience in A&E/Emergency, ICU, acute or general medical wards, mental health PICU or secure services.

HCPC-registered Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists and Paramedics and GPhC-registered Pharmacists are also welcome to apply.

Flexibility and hybrid working

You'll work 3 days per week in our Assessment Centre and 2 days from home. Working hours throughout training are 9am–5pm Monday to Friday. Once training is completed, other working patterns are available.

What you'll be doing:

  • Using active listening and critical reasoning skills to gather accurate information.
  • Producing high-quality, structured clinical reports for submission to the DWP.
  • Working alongside experienced clinical colleagues to ensure high-quality and clinically fair assessments.
