Field Service Engineer

Salary: Competitive salary, dependent on experience
Location: Field-based, Northern Ireland (Travel Required)
Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent
Working Pattern: Primarily field-based (Northern Ireland and occasional ROI travel), Monday to Friday with occasional visits to base in Ballinamallard. Overtime available.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform scheduled maintenance, routine inspections, and performance checks according to guidelines.

  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues promptly, conducting root cause analysis.

  • Monitor system performance and recommend optimisation strategies.

  • Respond efficiently to emergency service calls and equipment failures.

  • Maintain accurate documentation of service activities and inventory.

  • Provide excellent customer support, technical guidance, and training.

  • Ensure regulatory compliance across all activities.

Essential Criteria:

  • Qualified Heating Engineer (Mechanical & Electrical).

  • Strong technical troubleshooting skills (electrical, mechanical, plumbing).

  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and manuals.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Proven ability to work independently and manage priorities.

  • Commitment to safety, quality, and professional development.

Desirable Criteria:

  • Higher-level qualification in engineering or construction.

  • Experience in renewable energy service roles.

  • Familiarity with UK renewable energy regulations and standards.
