Gas Boiler Installation Engineer – Subcontractor

About the opportunity

Heat My Home Services is looking for an experienced boiler installation engineer to support domestic heating projects across Wakefield, Leeds and surrounding areas.

We want to build a long-term working relationship with a dependable subcontractor who takes pride in their workmanship, communicates well with customers and can confidently complete installations independently.

Initially, work will be offered on an agreed job-by-job basis, with the aim of developing a regular working arrangement as demand grows.

The role

Work may include:

• Combi boiler replacements and like-for-like swaps.
• System-to-combi conversions.
• Heat-only and system boiler replacements.
• Boiler relocations and associated pipework alterations.
• Installation of heating controls, filters and related components.
• Flushing, commissioning and balancing heating systems.
• Completing installation records, commissioning documentation and customer handovers.

What we’re looking for

• Gas Safe registration and qualifications appropriate to the work.
• Proven domestic boiler installation experience.
• Confidence working with combi, system and conventional heating systems.
• Neat pipework and pride in the finished installation.
• Practical problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
• Reliability, clear communication and respect for customers’ homes.
• Your own tools and equipment.
• A driving licence and appropriate insurance.

Experience with Alpha, Ideal and Worcester Bosch boilers would be useful.

Working with us

You’ll deal directly with the business owner to agree the installation scope, access arrangements and responsibilities before each job.

A company van is available for the right candidate, with arrangements agreed before starting.
