Heat Pump Installation Engineer

About the Role

As a Heat Pump Installation Engineer, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and servicing of air-source and ground-source heat pumps across Hertfordshire and London. You will work both independently and as part of a team to ensure energy-efficient and reliable heating solutions for our customers.

Your work will directly contribute to reducing household carbon footprints while providing homeowners with hassle-free heating solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, commission, and maintain air-source and ground-source heat pump systems.
  • Conduct diagnostics, servicing, and repairs of heat pumps and associated components.
  • Ensure all installations meet industry standards and building regulations.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to customers on system operation and energy efficiency.
  • Maintain accurate job records and complete necessary documentation using a work tablet.
  • Collaborate with other tradespeople, including electricians and plumbers, to complete installations effectively.
  • Uphold excellent customer service standards, ensuring a clean and tidy work environment at all times.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 3+ years of experience in heating, plumbing, or renewable energy systems.
  • Proven experience in heat pump installation and maintenance (air-source and ground-source preferred).
  • Familiarity with industry regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work efficiently under minimal supervision.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Basic IT skills for logging job information.
  • F-Gas Qualification (preferred but not essential).
  • G3 Unvented Hot Water qualification (preferred).
