Due to continued growth and future work orders Blue Wire Mechanical & Electrical are currently recruiting a Commercial Heating engineer for our well organised and established company.

Company Overview:

Blue Wire M & E Ltd are a well established installation, maintenance and service provider of Plumbing, heating, gas, HVAC and electrical installations throughout the UK. We mainly carry out works in the commercial, hospitality and leisure sector with a small amount of domestic installs when required.

Job Roles & Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be carrying out installation and maintenance works on various contracts throughout the UK depending on the qualifications held at present. Majority of works are carried out within 1.5hrs of our Leeds based office with a small amount of working away if/when required.

Blue Wire invests heavily in training and are willing to upskill the successful candidate in return for loyalty within the company.

  • Installation & Maintenance of commercial heating and plumbing systems.
  • Fault finding and repairing domestic and commercial HVAC plant and equipment through accurate diagnosis of faults and remedial works required.
  • Preparing quotes (and highlighting opportunities for quotes) for remedial works identified on maintenance/other visits.
  • Identifying and ordering replacement parts where needed.
  • Undertaking surveys to identify scopes of works/planned maintenance.
  • Completing risk assessments, reports and other documents as required.
  • Liaising regularly with the Operations Team through our electronic job management system, the phone, and email regarding work progress and other relevant matters to ensure the smooth running of works.
  • Putting the customer first, ensuring that communication is polite, informative, and professional, their site procedures are respected and always left clean and tidy, and that the highest levels of health and safety are observed.
  • Completing other tasks as required to support the wider business.

Qualifications:

  • City and Guilds Level 3 Diploma in Domestic Plumbing and Heating (6189-11) or equivalent qualification
  • Domestic Gas qualifications
  • Commercial Gas qualifications
  • WRAS Awareness
  • L8 Awareness
  • Health and Safety Awareness

Experience:

  • Plumbing & Heating: 3 years (required)
  • Fault finding on Gas appliances 2 years (required)
  • Working in a commercial setting, such as Hospitals, Universities, Hotels and Military sites
