Full job description

We are looking for a plumbing and heating engineer who has experience in carrying out first and second fix plumbing and heating works on new build and restoration projects. This applicant must be confident when it comes to managing the installation on complex projects, usually involving multiple high spec bathrooms, underfloor heating and air source heat pump installations on new build projects and have the capability of installing air source heat pump and heating systems in existing properties. The successful candidate must be able to work on their own or as a part of a team when necessary.

As a well-established plumbing and heating firm, we have a range of customers that are in need of our services, these will involve new and repeat building contractors and domestic customers. This is an important and crucial role within the business and you will be working with our team of plumbing and heating engineers on exciting projects across Cornwall. Typical day to day jobs that this role will involve

· First and second fixing high end bathrooms on new build projects

· Installing underfloor heating systems

· Installing unvented hot water cylinders

· Installing ground source and air source heat pumps

· Ordering and collecting materials from plumbing and heating merchants.

· Keeping in contact with our office to update on progress and schedule.

· Keeping your van well stocked for all eventualities.

The required experience for this role

Minimum experience of 5 years in plumbing and heating installation and able to demonstrate a high level of customer service whilst treating customers properties with respect.

Essential Qualifications and Skills

· Have extensive experience at first and second fix of high-quality plumbing, heating and bathroom installations.

· Have knowledge of Air/Ground source heating

· G3 Unvented Hot Water, Commission and Install (preferred)

· Hold a valid driving license

Additional Desirable Qualifications, Skills and Experience

· Current GAS SAFE qualifications (through an Accredited Certification Scheme), including, CCN1, CEN1,WAT1 or CENWAT, CKR1, CPA1, HTR1

· OFTEC (OFT10-101, OFT10-105E and OFT10-600a

· Experience with air source and / or ground source heating systems

· 17/18th Edition or Part P electrical qualifications and will be a distinct advantage

· Experience with Solar Thermal and twin coil hot water cylinders

Pay: £32,000.00-£37,500.00 per year
