Trade Recruit is proud to be recruiting on behalf of one of our prestigious clients based in Preston.

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Heating and Plumbing Engineer to join a growing and reputable team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced professional with a strong background in both gas and plumbing services, looking for stable PAYE employment and long-term career growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out installation, servicing, and repair of gas appliances and heating systems
  • Complete general plumbing work including maintenance and installations
  • Diagnose faults efficiently and provide effective solutions
  • Ensure all work complies with current gas safety regulations and industry standards
  • Deliver high-quality workmanship and excellent customer service
  • Maintain accurate job records and reports

Requirements

Must-have:

  • Minimum 5 years' experience as a Heating & Plumbing Engineer
  • Valid Gas Safe registration
  • Strong knowledge of domestic gas systems and plumbing
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Nice-to-have:

  • Experience in both reactive maintenance and planned installations
  • Relevant NVQ or City & Guilds qualifications

Salary & Benefits

  • £38,000 – £42,000 per annum (PAYE) depending on experience
