This role will involve carrying out domestic gas servicing, repairs, maintenance and installations, alongside general plumbing works within occupied and void properties.

Working across planned maintenance, responsive repairs and void programmes, you will ensure heating and plumbing systems are safe, compliant and operating efficiently. You will represent Axis CLC professionally at all times, delivering excellent customer service while maintaining the highest standards of workmanship, safety and compliance.

The successful candidate must hold current domestic gas qualifications and be confident undertaking both heating and plumbing repairs.

What You'll Deliver

  • Diagnose faults and deliver high-quality first-time fixes wherever possible. * Undertake gas safety inspections and ensure all work complies with Gas Safe and Health & Safety regulations.

  • Complete accurate job documentation and maintain excellent customer service standards. * Work closely with colleagues, supervisors and clients to deliver efficient, safe and compliant services.

About You

  • Experienced Domestic Gas Engineer with strong plumbing skills. * Current ACS qualifications including CCN1, CENWAT and CKR1 (HTR1 and G3 desirable).

  • Strong fault-finding, problem-solving and customer service skills. * Able to work independently and manage workloads effectively.

  • Competent using handheld devices for job management and reporting. * Full UK driving licence.

  • Eligible to obtain and maintain SC and BPSS clearance. * Experience within MOD, public sector or social housing environments would be advantageous.

Required Qualifications / Certifications

  • CCN1 – Core Domestic Gas Safety * CENWAT – Central Heating Boilers and Water Heaters

  • CKR1 – Domestic Cookers and Hobs * HTR1 – Gas Fires and Wall Heaters (Desirable)

  • G3 Unvented Hot Water (Desirable)

Physical Requirements

This role involves practical, hands-on work and requires a good level of mobility and manual dexterity. You may at times be required to work at height, in confined spaces or on uneven ground, and to use a range of hand and power tools safely and effectively.

What We Offer

  • Salary up to £18.38 per hour depending on experience, plus performance-related bonus * Company Van and fuel card (business use)

  • Pension scheme and life assurance * 23 days’ holiday plus bank holidays

  • Perkbox benefits worth up to £350 per year, including discounts, perks and wellbeing support * 24/7 GP referral and wellbeing support service

  • 1 paid volunteer day * £2,000 refer-a-friend bonus after the referee passes probation

  • Opportunities for development and progression across Axis CLC
