We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Gas Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing gas systems across residential settings. Responsibilities

  • Installing, inspecting, repairing, and maintaining gas appliances and systems in compliance with safety regulations and standards.
  • Conducting routine safety checks and diagnostics on gas equipment to ensure optimal operation.
  • Diagnosing faults and implementing effective solutions using appropriate tools and techniques.
  • Performing welding, plumbing, carpentry, and assembly tasks as required during installation or repair processes.
  • Using hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment to complete tasks efficiently and safely.
  • Assisting with the training of junior staff or apprentices when necessary.
  • Ensuring all work areas are kept clean, organised, and compliant with health and safety regulations.
  • Maintaining accurate records of work performed, materials used, and inspections carried out.
  • Driving company vehicles as needed for site visits or equipment transportation in accordance with commercial driving regulations.

Skills

  • Proven experience in gas engineering or related trades such as plumbing or mechanical installation.
  • Proficiency with welding techniques and the use of hand tools and power tools.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics.
