Plumbing & Heating Engineer

Permanent | £39,439.71 | 40 hours per week | Company Van Provided

Looking for a plumbing role with less hassle and more balance?

At ClwydAlyn, we're not just looking for skilled Plumbing & Heating Engineers - we're looking for people who take pride in doing a great job and want to be part of a team that genuinely supports one another.

If you're tired of chasing work, spending weekends on jobs, or feeling like just another number, this could be exactly what you're looking for.

You'll help keep our residents' homes safe, warm and running smoothly while enjoying the stability, support and benefits that come with working for a trusted housing association.

What's in it for you?

Company van provided - fully equipped for the job

Power tools and uniform supplied - we've got you covered

  • ️ 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays - rising to 30 days after 5 years' service

Sell up to 4 days of annual leave - if you'd prefer extra money in your pocket

  • ️ No regular weekend working - enjoy your time off, with only occasional participation in an on-call rota

Consistent workload - no chasing jobs or worrying about where the next one is coming from

Supportive team culture - experienced colleagues who are ready to help when needed

Training and development opportunities - we'll support you to keep your qualifications up to date

A role with purpose - your work directly helps people feel safe and comfortable in their homes

What you'll be doing

You'll carry out a variety of plumbing & heating work across our homes and communities, including:

  • Boiler servicing and repairs
  • Diagnosing faults and replacing defective parts
  • Heating system maintenance and upgrades
  • Gas safety inspections and compliance checks
  • Emergency and responsive repairs
  • Supporting residents with a friendly, professional service
  • Working safely and maintaining high standards on every job

What we’re looking for

We're keen to hear from experienced Plumbing & Heating Engineers who:

  • Hold an NVQ Level 2 in Plumbing & Heating (or equivalent)
  • Have current ACS Gas qualifications (CCN1, CPA1, CEN1, CKR1)
  • Hold a full UK driving licence
  • Take pride in delivering quality workmanship
  • Put safety and customer service first

Additional qualifications such as LPG, HTR1, Unvented Hot Water, or Energy Efficiency certifications would be a bonus, but they're not essential.

An interest in renewable technologies is a plus. Experience with Air Source Heat Pumps, Solar Thermal Hot Water, Underfloor Heating or Rainwater Harvesting would be beneficial, but if you're keen to learn, we'll provide full in-house training and support.

Why ClwydAlyn?

We know that great engineers have options.

That's why we focus on creating a workplace where people choose to stay. You'll be trusted to do what you do best, supported when you need it, and recognised for the difference you make every day.

Our values are built around Trust, Hope and Kindness - and we work hard to make sure that isn't just something written on a wall.

Everyone is welcome

We're committed to creating an inclusive workplace where everyone feels respected, valued and able to thrive.

We actively encourage applications from people of all backgrounds, experiences and communities.

Ready to join us? We'd love to hear from you!

*Please note, shortlisting for this role will take place on 24th Novemver, with interviews exected to be held on 4th December*
