The ideal candidate will have at least 3+ years of servicing/repair experience. You will have the opportunity to show your qualities working both alone and as part of our team. Being a leader and showing intuition is what being an engineer is all about– we want you to have a license to do that here. Your involvement will help us double down in a critical business area. Carrying out domestic boiler servicing & repair work, Monday to Friday, across Medway & mid-Kent. There is also an opportunity for overtime call-out work but it is not mandatory.

This is a 95% field-based role with meetings taking place at our office in Rochester, Kent.

Your experience and skills:

3+ years experience in the heating and plumbing industry

Experience in boiler servicing/repairs

Basic IT skills on a work tablet for recording job information

Own tools

Strong focus on customer service

Ability to maintain a clean and tidy work environment

Currently holds the following qualifications CCN1, Cpa1, Cenwat, Ckr1, HtR1, G3 (copies required)

Full clean driving license

Ability to thrive in an unrestricted manner – we hold a strong belief that everyone can have a huge contribution to help to grow the business

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Heating Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and experience in heating systems installation, maintenance, and repair. This role requires proficiency in using various hand and power tools, as well as the ability to perform heavy lifting and assembly tasks. The Heating Engineer will play a crucial role in ensuring that heating systems operate efficiently and safely.

Duties

  • Install, maintain, and repair heating systems in residential and commercial properties.
  • Conduct routine inspections and diagnostics to identify issues with heating equipment.
  • Utilise power tools and hand tools for installation and repair tasks.
  • Weld components as necessary to ensure proper system functionality.
  • Plumb heating systems according to industry standards and regulations.
  • Assemble heating units and related components with precision.
  • Perform heavy lifting as required during installation or maintenance tasks.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
  • Collaborate with other tradespeople, including carpenters, to complete projects efficiently.

Experience

  • Proven experience as a Heating Engineer or similar role is preferred.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot heating systems effectively.
  • Familiarity with basic maths for measurements and calculations related to installations.
  • Experience in commercial driving may be advantageous for transporting equipment to job sites.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team while adhering to safety guidelines.
