Horticulturalist / Skilled Gardener

CS Gardens is a growing premium gardening and landscaping company working across London and Surrey. We pride ourselves on delivering exceptional garden maintenance and horticultural services to a high standard for private residential clients.

We are looking for an experienced, reliable and enthusiastic Horticulturalist / Skilled Gardener to join our team.

About the Role

This is a hands-on outdoor position where you’ll be responsible for maintaining and improving a variety of high-quality gardens. You’ll work independently and as part of a small team, travelling between client properties across London and Surrey.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out all aspects of garden maintenance to a high standard
  • Planting, pruning, hedge cutting and lawn care
  • Seasonal planting and garden improvements
  • Weed and pest management
  • Plant identification and horticultural advice
  • Safe operation and maintenance of gardening machinery and tools
  • Ensuring every property is left clean, tidy and presented to the highest standard
  • Delivering excellent customer service and representing CS Gardens professionally

Requirements

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Has solid horticultural knowledge and practical gardening experience
  • Is passionate about plants and garden care
  • Is well presented, polite and professional
  • Enjoys working outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Holds a full UK driving licence and is confident driving throughout London and Surrey
  • Is physically fit and comfortable with manual outdoor work
  • Can work independently, manage time effectively and take pride in their work
  • Has experience operating professional gardening equipment safely
  • Is reliable, punctual and has a positive attitude

Desirable

  • RHS qualifications or equivalent horticultural training
  • PA1/PA6 spraying certificates (preferred but not essential)
  • Experience working on high-end residential gardens
