Full job description

The Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Estate Gardener to join a friendly estate team, working at a beautiful private estate just outside of Lewes, East Sussex. This is a great opportunity for a passionate and conscientious hands-on gardener, with an eye for detail and a keenness to learn, to gain further knowledge and experience.

All aspects of horticultural duties will be required. Including, but not limited to, planting, pruning, soil management and general maintenance including grass and hedge cutting. Some plant knowledge is desirable but a willingness to learn is essential. Experience with garden machinery/equipment including tractors and mowers would also be desirable but training can be provided.

The Estate Gardener will be capable of working independently, as well as part of a gardening and estate team. Loyalty, reliability and having a professional and proactive approach are absolutely vital skills required to join the team.

Experience/Qualifications
Essential
Minimum of 1 years’ experience in a similar role
Good knowledge of plant husbandry and horticultural techniques
Full UK driving license
Desirable
Horticultural qualifications NVQ, City & Guilds or RHS or equivalent
