Full job description

You will be required to undertake a range of gardening duties for our commercial and residential clients. This will vary from planting, pruning, weeding, grass cutting, hedge trimming and soft landscaping.

As a company, we cover the whole of the West Midlands. This role will require you to mainly attend clients in Birmingham, Solihull, Kenilworth (and surrounding areas). Due to recent expansion we are now covering the Worcestershire area which you might be required to help on from time to time. Therefore, you must be fully prepared to travel. If you are unable to travel on a daily basis we regret that we will not be able to process your application.

  • Own transport required initially (company van will be supplied after probation period for the right candidate).
  • A professional and polite conduct is paramount at all times, you will be dealing directly with our clients at their properties.
  • Be a good team player
  • Be able to work on your own initiative as well as within a team.
  • We expect all of our staff to arrive for work on time and ready to start the day at the agreed time with the client.
  • Full training will be given but we do require some experience (whether this is an RHS course, degree, City and Guilds, or equivalent). For your application to be successful your CV will need to clearly display this experience please.
  • Hard working and willing to work in all weather types. This is not a role for a fair weather person as we don't stop for rain.
  • Display an understanding of different plant types.
  • Be trustworthy and reliable.
  • Be honest.
  • Have excellent attention to detail.

Summary

As a trained horticulturalist, you will be essential in maintaining and enhancing the beauty of outdoor spaces for our growing list of clients. Reporting to the site supervisor, your role will focus on utilising your core skills in horticulture and gardening to cultivate plants and manage landscape maintenance for a mix of residential and commercial properties.

Your expertise with hand tools, and power tools will ensure efficient garden upkeep. Additionally, your relevant skills in grounds keeping will contribute to creating a welcoming environment.
