Full job description

Acorn Environmental is an established Estate Maintenance Company providing cleaning and grounds maintenance services to our clients which include General Needs and Lease Holder sites as well as Sheltered and supported Housing Schemes

We require a full time Ground Maintenance Operative to join our established team. You will need to live in the Southampton/Fareham area.

You must:-

  • Hold a full UK driving licence
  • Have previous grounds maintenance experience including grass cutting and hedge maintenance
  • Be physically fit
  • Have a good attention to detail
  • Be a team player
  • Be flexible in your approach
  • Have excellent communication skills
  • Be able to work in all weathers

PA1 & PA6 Licences, chainsaw certification would be desirable, but not necessary.

You must have experience in using the following petrol driven equipment:

  • Back Pack Leaf Blower
  • Long Arm Hedge Cutter
  • Strimmer
  • Hayter 56 Lawnmower or equivalent

You will work as part of a team, Monday to Friday 7.00 am to 3.30pm. You must hold a full driving licence and have previous experience in a similar role.

You will be required to undergo and Enhanced DBS check. Disclosure expense will be met by employer, but if you leave within 3 months this will have to be repaid.
