Overview
We are looking for a dedicated and skilled Craft Gardener to join our close-knit team. Our passion lies in the art of planting and restoring beautiful garden borders, often working in spaces shaped by our in-house garden designs. If you are someone who loves nurturing plants, thrives in a collaborative environment, and has a keen eye for detail, we would love to hear from you. For those with an interest in garden design, there are opportunities to engage with our design projects.

We are a small business that is growing all the time this position is self employed and part time but will grow with the right candidate..

Duties

  • Carry out thoughtful garden maintenance, focusing on planting, pruning, weeding, and mulching.
  • Use and care for hand and power tools to perform planting and restorative tasks.
  • Ensure appropriate watering to maintain plant health and support optimal growth.
  • Contribute to projects involving the installation of new planting schemes and garden features.
  • Assess plant health, monitoring for signs of pests or disease and acting as necessary.
  • Keep our equipment organized and our workspace clean and efficient.
  • Work collaboratively with team members to bring our planting and design visions to life.
  • Stay informed about current horticultural best practices.

Note: We are not a grass-cutting or hedge-trimming service, though occasional lawn maintenance may be required.

  • A genuine love for and respect of the natural environment.
  • The ability to work well with clients and fellow team members, maintaining a positive and collaborative attitude.
  • Experience in gardening or a related field is preferred, but training can be provided for the right candidate.
  • Knowledge of planting techniques, plant care, and general border maintenance.
  • Comfortable using gardening tools and equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Physical stamina to work outdoors in various weather conditions and perform manual tasks such as digging and lifting.
  • Detail-oriented and committed to delivering high-quality work.
  • A valid driver's license is helpful for transporting tools and materials.
  • Pay will reflect experience and qualifications, ensuring fair compensation for all team members.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: £13.00-£15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 7 – 21 per week
