Full job description

Providing a proactive attitude to our parks stunning grounds. You will play a key role in ensuring our guests and owners can sit back, relax and enjoy their break comfortably, in the well maintained and cared for gardens that you will see to.

Reporting to the Maintenance Coordinator, you will be required to look out for our wonderful plants, trees, bushes and grass that we have on our family driven park.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Maintain and care for the grounds of the property, including lawns, gardens, and landscaped areas.
  • Laying slabs, tarmac and general ground works.
  • Making sure all trees are cut back and safe for our customers to see.
  • Ensuring that all external areas such as car parks, paths and roadways are kept clean, tidy and well maintained.
  • Providing an efficient strimming and grass cutting service around the park for excellent standards to be maintained and to improve customer satisfaction..
  • Keep all flower bed areas clean, trimmed and tidy.
  • Perform regular landscape maintenance tasks such as mowing, trimming, edging, and weeding.
  • Plant and maintain flowers, shrubs, and trees to enhance the overall appearance of the property.
  • Operate power tools and equipment such as diggers, lawn mowers, strimmer's, blowers, and hedge trimmers.
  • Clean and maintain walkways, parking lots, and other outdoor areas.
  • Remove debris and litter from the grounds on a regular basis.
  • Ensuring the good working order of all equipment and plan, prepare and implement a maintenance schedule to keep all in good working order and to be serviced in line with the Health & Safety policy.

The successful Person will:

  • Have previous experience in groundskeeping or a related field is required.
  • Have knowledge of basic landscaping techniques and practices.
  • Must hold a full, UK driving licence and experience of driving light commercial vehicles , ride ons and diggers is desirable.
  • Applicants must be reliable and conscientious, have a can-do attitude and willingness to learn with the ability to work on their own initiative.
  • Familiarity with operating power tools and equipment used in groundskeeping.
  • Ability to use hand tools such as shovels, rakes, and pruners effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
