Grounds Maintenance Trainee (Seasonal) – Ideal for School Leavers & StudentsJob Summary

Ideal for school leavers, students on summer break, or anyone seeking outdoor seasonal work.

We are looking for reliable and enthusiastic individuals to join our Grounds Maintenance team for a 2–3 month seasonal contract. This is an excellent opportunity to gain practical experience in landscaping and grounds maintenance while working outdoors as part of a friendly team.

No previous experience is required as full training, uniform, and PPE are provided. We're looking for people with a positive attitude, a strong work ethic, and a willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

  • Grass cutting using pedestrian and ride-on mowers.
  • Strimming around obstacles and borders.
  • Litter picking and keeping outdoor areas clean and presentable.
  • General grounds maintenance, including hedge trimming, pruning, weeding, and planting
  • Learn to use powered equipment including lawnmowers, hedge trimmers, and leaf blowers under supervision.
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and vehicles in a clean and safe condition.

  • Previous gardening, landscaping, construction, or grounds maintenance experience is an advantage but not essential.
