Full job description

We are currently in the process of recruiting a grounds maintenance operative who would be able to undertake a wide range of horticultural roles and tasks within the company.

Based in Stoke on Trent, you will be working on client sites including schools, businesses, hospitals and housing associations throughout the Midlands.

Duties would include operating power tools and equipment such as mowers, trimmers, and blowers. Other grounds maintenance tasks will be carried out as required.

-Grass cutting and strimming

-Hedge cutting and shrub pruning

-Leaf blowing

-Other grounds maintenance duties as necessary.

Internal training will be provided for the successful candidate.

The candidate will need to have good communication skills and have the ability to work both individually and within a team environment. Excellent time keeping skills and attendance is a requirement for these roles.

A full UK driving license is preferred for this position and a Clean Enhanced DBS Check will be required. A spraying licence (PA1 PA6) certificate also preferred.

Flexibility and positive work ethic are some of the skills we will be looking for.

The successful candidate will be working from Monday to Friday although overtime and work at weekends may be available from time to time.

The working times will vary depending on the role with both 8 hour shifts and 10 hour shifts available.

Previous experience in grounds maintenance required for these roles.

Job Type: Full-time

Expected hours: 37 – 45 per week
