The purpose of the role:

As a Maintenance Assistant, you will support the smooth and safe operation of the holiday park by

carrying out a wide range of general maintenance, repair, and grounds tasks. Working across

multiple areas of the park, you will help ensure our facilities, holiday homes, and outdoor spaces are

well maintained, safe, and presented to a high standard for our guests, owners, and team members.

You will often work independently, taking pride in delivering high-quality work, while also

collaborating closely with the wider maintenance and park teams to resolve issues quickly and

professionally.

Some of the things you will be doing include:

Trades & General Maintenance

  • Carrying out routine maintenance and repairs across the park, including (but not limited to):

o Plumbing tasks such as fixing leaks, unblocking drains, and replacing taps and

fittings.

o Electrical tasks such as replacing light fittings, checking sockets, and completing

minor wiring work.

o Carpentry tasks including repairing doors, windows, decking, furniture, fencing, and

general fixtures.

  • Using the ParkSmart system to manage daily maintenance tasks efficiently, ensuring jobs are

completed on time and to a high standard.

  • Supporting other departments with general maintenance tasks as required.
  • Keeping tools, equipment, and the workshop clean, organised, safe, and in good working

order.

  • Maintaining appropriate stock levels of maintenance supplies.

Holiday Home Sales & Ownership Support

  • Carrying out maintenance tasks to ensure holiday homes for sale are clean, safe, and

showroom ready.

  • Conducting regular checks, snagging, and repairs on holiday homes, including plumbing,

electrics, fixtures, and fittings.

  • Supporting the handover process by responding promptly to maintenance requests from the

Holiday Home Sales and Owner teams.

  • Assisting with tidying pitches and supporting the moving and siting of holiday homes when

required.

  • Working closely with Sales, Owners, and Maintenance teams to ensure a smooth and

professional customer experience.

Grounds & External Areas

  • Maintaining the park’s outdoor areas to a high standard, including tasks such as grass

cutting, strimming, hedge and tree pruning, litter picking, jet washing, and basic pothole

repairs.

  • Carrying out landscaping, painting, fencing, and general external repairs.
  • Maintaining flower beds through planting, weeding, and general upkeep.
  • Ensuring bin bays are kept clean, tidy, and well presented.
  • Changing gas bottles safely and in line with procedures.
  • Supporting pitch tidies and assisting with the siting and movement of holiday homes.

General Responsibilities

  • Responding to guest and owner enquiries in a friendly, helpful, and professional manner.
  • Working collaboratively with the wider park teams to resolve maintenance issues effectively.
  • Carrying out all tasks safely, following health & safety procedures and risk assessments at all

times.

  • It is your responsibility to report any weakness or breach that you identify within the

Company’s information systems or services (even if only suspected).

  • Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility, and you have a duty of care for your own health

and safety and that of your colleagues, guests, and visitors. You must report any concerns

and co-operate with management to enable it to comply with its health and safety and

safeguarding accountabilities.

Some of the skills and experience we are looking for:

  • Hands-on experience with both groundskeeping and general handyman or maintenance

work, including garden maintenance, landscaping, and practical repair tasks.

  • The ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending and standing for extended

periods of time.

  • Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • Good manual dexterity with the ability to use or learn to use an array of hand tools and

power tools.

  • A Full UK Driving Licence.
  • The flexibility to be able to work across varied days including weekends, evenings, and bank

holidays as required.

This job description highlights your key responsibilities at Parkdean Resorts. You are encouraged

to embrace our company values as you work to achieve and exceed these responsibilities.

We want to do all we can to create an environment and recruitment process where people feel

safe and comfortable to talk about disability. For any reasonable adjustment requests, please contact the team at Holly.baldwin@parkdean-resorts.com
