Grounds Maintenance Operative
Full-Time Permanent Role
We are offering a salary of up to £24,960 per annum.

Who are we:
Celtic Horizons was the first wholly owned subsidiary of its kind formed by United Welsh who have entered into a partnership with Mears Group. Celtic Horizons care for over 6500 properties spanning over 11 local authority areas in South Wales.
About the Role:
We are looking for an experienced Ground Maintenance Operative to join our rapidly expanding team to work within a Grounds Maintenance Team. You will be working as part of a team ensuring our clients receive high levels of service and satisfaction. You will be responsible for carrying out the following:
  • Clearing Grounds of all litter
  • Cutting of grass and Bushes and if qualified, weed spraying
  • The use of gardening equipment like hedge cutters, chain saws etc.
You'll deliver a range of services to our clients, including a range of Hard, Soft and Grounds Maintenance services; this role is pivotal in ensuring that all or a combination of maintenance, compliance, cleaning and grounds tasks are completed.
Role Criteria:
  • Previous experience as a Grounds maintenance operative or similar- evidenced in CV
  • Willing to work in all weather conditions as you will be working outside
  • Ideally previous domestic, social housing experience
  • Great Customer Service skills
  • Full clean UK driving licence
  • PA1/PA6 Pesticide licence – preferred but not essential
As well as the above, to be considered for the role we are also looking for a candidate with excellent time management skills and the ability to co-ordinate with other operatives and contacts, as working as a key member of the Team is essential. You will also have a good understanding for the importance Health & Safety.
All our roles require candidates to have the entitlement to work within the UK, Mears does not currently offer visa sponsorship.
