FACTORY CLEANING REQUIREMENTS

We are seeking a dedicated Industrial Cleaner / Grounds Maintenance Operativeto maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene within our industrial facilities. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to a well-maintained workplace.

Duties

  • Perform thorough cleaning of industrial areas, including floors, machinery, and workstations using appropriate cleaning equipment and products
  • Follow health and safety procedures to prevent accidents and ensure compliance with industry standards
  • Operate specialised cleaning machinery as required, adhering to operational guidelines
  • Assist with deep-cleaning tasks during scheduled maintenance periods or as directed by supervisors

Experience

  • Proven experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial roles is preferred
  • Knowledge of industrial cleaning procedures and safety standards is advantageous
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining attention to detail
  • Strong organisational skills to prioritise tasks effectively
  • Physical stamina to perform repetitive cleaning tasks and handle heavy equipment if necessary

TGrounds Maintenance Operative Requirements:

Ability and experience in undertaking all aspects of grounds maintenance including but not limited to: Hedge Cutting, Lawn mowing, Strimming, Fencing replacement, Grounds clearance, Weed control chemical spraying, Fencing repairs,

Experience of working safely & regularly inspect and maintain all tools and equipment to ensure they are safe to use and fit for purpose.

Ability to understand schedule of works and able to update works orders, complete time sheets and log materials used.

Knowledge and understanding of health and safety relating to grounds maintenance tasks on large industrial site & requiring a minimum amount of supervision and use of own initiative.

Full driving licence is essential

Ability to drive a Tractor Etc helpful not essential
