This is an excellent opportunity for someone who takes real pride in creating and maintaining beautifully presented outdoor spaces and who enjoys working hands-on in a varied and rewarding environment. We are looking for an individual with a strong interest in horticulture, a keen eye for detail, and a desire to continually develop their knowledge and skills within grounds maintenance and gardening.

The Groundsperson will work 37.5 hours per week over 5 days, alongside a small and dedicated team, maintaining several exceptionally well-presented 5-star parks across North Yorkshire. Daily duties will include grass cutting, strimming, hedge pruning, planting, flower bed maintenance, weeding, litter collection and the general upkeep of landscaped areas across all three parks. The successful applicant must hold a full driving licence in order to drive company vehicles between sites.

We are particularly keen to hear from candidates who have a genuine enthusiasm for gardening and horticulture, whether through previous employment, qualifications, or personal interest. Knowledge of plants, seasonal maintenance, and garden presentation would be highly valued, as would someone who enjoys taking ownership of outdoor spaces and helping them thrive throughout the year.

This role can at times be physically demanding and involves working outdoors in all weather conditions, year-round, to maintain the exceptionally high standards across our parks. Uniform and PPE will be provided.

The successful candidate must be hardworking, reliable and committed to both their work and personal development, with a strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining high standards of presentation.
