Full job description

To maintain and enhance the appearance, safety, and overall presentation of Tencreek Holiday Park. The Groundskeeper / Estates Operative plays a key role in ensuring the park looks well-kept, welcoming, and in line with our VisitEngland 4-Star standards.

This is a hands-on role requiring pride in presentation, attention to detail, and a proactive approach.

Key Responsibilities

Grounds Maintenance

  • Grass cutting, strimming, edging, and general turf care
  • Hedge cutting and shrub maintenance
  • Seasonal planting and flower bed upkeep
  • Leaf clearance and litter picking
  • Pathway, fencing, and boundary maintenance
  • Maintaining drainage channels and outdoor infrastructure

Park Presentation

  • Ensuring all public areas are clean, tidy, and safe
  • Maintaining signage and outdoor furniture
  • Assisting with pitch preparation for touring and seasonal guests
  • Ensuring high visual standards across all areas of the park

Estates Support

  • Assisting with general maintenance tasks where required
  • Supporting setup and breakdown of events
  • Carrying out minor repairs to fencing, decking, or outdoor structures
  • Supporting winter maintenance and off-season works

Health & Safety

  • Operating machinery safely and in line with training
  • Conducting basic equipment checks
  • Reporting hazards or defects promptly
  • Complying with company Health & Safety policies

Working Pattern

  • Hours may fluctuate seasonally.
  • During peak season, additional hours may be required.
  • Winter hours may reduce in line with operational needs.
  • Weekend work may be required.
  • Participation in duty rota may be required (if applicable).
