****PLEASE NOTE: This role is approximately 1 hour per week. Additional hours may not be available. This is a zero-hour contract, and tutoring takes place in the student’s home unless stated otherwise. MUST be able to prove that you have the right to work in the UK on a self-employed basis ****

We’re now looking for a passionate and reliable tutor to join our friendly team!

The Role

We are currently hiring for an experienced GCSE English Tutor to support a year 10 student.

Pay: From £20 per hour
Location: EN5-sessions take place in the student's home
Commitment: 1 hour per week

Schedule: Tuesday or Wednesday from 5PM

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys engaging with young people and would like to make a meaningful impact through personalised, one-to-one teaching.

Essential Requirements

Please read carefully — applicants must meet the following essential criteria:

  • MUST be available weekly for a 1 hour tutoring session (REQUIRED)
  • Must have achieved a B at GCSE or A level in the subject you're interested in tutoring if you are applying to work with GCSE/A-level students
  • MUST have experience working with students with SEN (REQUIRED)
  • MUST be able to prove that you have the right to work in the UK on a self-employed basis (REQUIRED)
  • MUST be able to access a printer as and when necessary- resources are provided however, tutors are expected to print from time to time (REQUIRED)

Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 tutoring sessions, focusing on their individual learning needs and goals.
  • Build relationships and rapport with students
  • Make sessions fun and interactive
  • Monitor and assess student progress, adapting teaching methods as necessary.
  • Encourage and motivate students to build confidence in their academic abilities
